Tillam&ok City has secured new en ergy and capital through the coming, of C. .1. Edward. late of Newberg, in our midst. Mr. Edwards has purchased an interest in the Tillamook Liuht and Fuel Co., and haa now under way the investmnt of $25,000 in naw equip ment for that company. A new steam turbine costing $11,000 has been pur chased. This new piece of machinery has a capacity of 500 K W and will develop from S00 to 1000 h. p. In or der to give the reader some idea of the advantage of the new steam turbine over the present method, we will state that the new turbine will furnish 1 K. Angel in its franchise granted i W., with 19 pounds of Btcam. while the Portland Kailwar Licht and present method will furnish 1 K. W., with 70 to 50 pounds of steam.
