A striking illustration of the meth
ods of the liquor tralHc occurod last
week in the llichigan legislature. A
concurrent resolution asking for an
amendment to the Federal constitution
providing for prohibition of the liquor
traffic had passed both houses, but the
lenator who had championed the meas
ure having left the chamber for a half
hour, the lirjuor peoplu tixik advantage
of his absence and on reconsideration
of the resolution succeeded in having
it sent back to the committee, where
it is feared it has been buried.
