Klamath farmers are fattening hogs
on their surplus fxilato crops. Ten
carloads of hogn have been shiped into
that district from Sacramen'.o and if
the potatoes on hand can be utilized
profitably in this way, other large ship
ments will be made.

general convention of sportsmen for
next Fall in Portland, wnen h wants
to enlist the assistance of hunter and
fishermen throughout Oregon to carry
out the work outlined by the State

ers. Delegates are expected from the
variotis sportsmen's clubs in all parta
of the state, it ii believed that with
the aid of these organizations. Oregon

fishing ground in the country.
S ilera has started something new in
the organization of a commercial club
that will include in its membership
farmers and fruit growers of the sur
rounding country as well as business,
men of the city. Probably no section
of the state is in closer touch with iU
ojtside territory and such a move is
of great benefit to both city and
country.
