Armistice day was observed here
Tuesday with appropriate exercises
at the Coliseum theater, when the
principal speaker of the day was
John W. Beard, chaplain of the Ore­
gon department, American Legion,
and former chaplain of the 91st di­
vision during the World war.
Following the program at the thea­
ter the Legion Auxilliary served a
dinner at the armory for ex-service
men and national guardsmen and
their families.
Company K had assembly and a
parade through the business section
of the city prior to the Legion pro­
gram. I In the
