The wheat crop of the northwest
is estimated to be only about two
thirds of that of last year. Oregon
is estimated to be producing 16,500,-
000 bushel as against 28,000,000
bushel last year. Washington is pro­
ducing about 30,00o,000 bushel a-
against 61,750,000 for last year. The
entire wheat production of the coun­
try is estimated at a little less than
700,000,000 bushel , about 93,000,000
bushel less than last year’s output
Countries that export whea are
about 168.000,000 bushels short of the
annual average demand of the coun­
tries that import the grainr
