went out to Portland last Saturday
to attend a meeting of the delegates
from the twelve state fish hatcheries
of Oregon with the Oregon Fish com­
mission, which occurred last Tues­
day. The delegates were welcomed
by F. P. Kendall, chairman of the
Fish commission. Among matters
agreed upon by the commission and
assented to by the delegates, were
the following; Plans for increasing
pond areas; the installation of new
equipment in streams; economies in
food bills; and other practical innova­
tions in the matter of greater hatch­
ery production of flsh.
