AY, JANUARY 18, 1924 TILLAMOOK HEADLIGHT — Local news items this week convey startling information of such a nature as to lead one to believe that something until now unheard of in this county is soon to take place. The exploitation of our almost untouched resources is hinted at by the transfer and invest igation of timber lands in all sections of Tilla mook. We have, in this small valley, the wealth of a kingdom, in a commodity which is being demanded by thousands of cities all over the world. Our timber is of such vast proportions that few in this generation will live to see any great diminishing of the supply which is now standing about us. Our dairy industry, while it may never reach mammoth size, is always rich and will act as a stabilizer on Tillamook County’s financial affairs. An increase of fifty per cent, in population within the past three years would indicate that the story of our wealth had reached far, and that many more new-comers may be expected here soon to share it with us. 5
