shops are also arranged to show
Christmas offerings, artistically ar­
ranged. The stocks this year are ex­
ceptionally large and varied, and one
does not need to leave the city to get
almost anything one wants for Christ­
mas presents.
There are toys
for the children, fancy article« of
clothing for the youths and elders,
and the latest wrap creations for the
ladies; in fact, all one needs is to step
into the stores that advertise in the
Headlight, and find what you want.
Buy your goods at home, and keep the
money you spend circulating where
it belongs.
Read the Christmas
ads. carefully before you start out
on your Christmas shopping, and you
will make no mistakes in the place
to trade.

Mrs. Spitzmesser at the last meeting;
Mrs. Ebinger assisted.
The afternoon was spent at cards
after which the hostesses served most
delicious refreshments.
Mrs. James Clark substituting for
Mrs. Beltz won high score. Other
guests were Mrs. Disney, Sr. and
Mrs. Griffith.
Next meeting at the home of Mrs.
Pine has been posponed one week,
The 3. U. G. club entertained tlje
club husbands at a very delightful
and appetizing chicken dinner last
Friday night at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Green.
The holiday spirit being carried out
in every detail, including the Christ­
mas tree and presents, which were
presented by Santa Claus after dinner.

Cards and other games were the
source of entertainment for the re­
mainder of a most enjoyable evening.
The demonstration was made at
the L. L. Stillwell place near this
city, and about two hundred dairymen,
farmers and others were present, in­
cluding some county powder men.
About 17,550 pounds were sold on the
ground, together with the cartridges.
There remained 2400 pounds to be
sold before enough would be avail­
able for a carload lot, which is the
least quantity that will be shipped to
any community. County Agent Pine,
feels sure that the remainder of the
order will be made up soon, and the
carload ordered. For cost of material
