The children unde rthed irection
of the music supervisor, Miss Helen
Pettit, have been working faithfully
in an attempt to make this the best
operetta ever given. The music is
light and catchy, the scenic effects
beautiful and the dialogue clever and
the whole story is shot through with
comedy.
The proceeds will be used to help
pay for the new scenery which has
been installed in the gymnasium this
year, to purchase music and for other
similar purposes. This year two en
tirely new sets of wings, and two
back drops have been prepared which
will add greatly to the ease with
which the stage can be prepared, in
addition to making the production
more effective. Rollers for the back
drops wings have been prepared by
the Manual Training boys under the
direction of Mr. Johnson. Miss Ry
der’s Sewing Class girls have used
their skill in sewing curtains. Scene
painting has been done by Mrs. Will
is, Trevor Hare and Gerald Graves.
