The First National Bank i
Mary Elizabeth Berns died at her
home October 3rd, 1922. She was
born in Luxemburg, urope, in 1847.
Came to the United States in 1871.
Married Frank Berns in 1875 in the
state of New York.
From there
they moved to Illinois where they
lived on a farm until 1888. From
there they moved to Tillamook
county, Oregon, where they resided
until her death.
To this union were born eleven
children of which three died in in-
fancy. One son, Peter, died at the
age of 23 years.
Those who are left to mourn her
death are: Her husband and seven
children, Martin, John, Theodore
and Antuhny of Tillamook, William
of Montesano, Wn., Mrs. Margaret
Johnson of Portland, Ore., Mrs.
Mary Bunn of Myrtle Point, and
17 grandchildren. All of the chil-
dren were at her bedside
time of den ill.
