Clair Follett and Harold Follett wish
to express their thanks to the dear
friends who so kindly assisted them
in the sad hours of sickness and be-
reavemen; and for the beautiful
floral tributes to the loved departed
parents.
The demands upon the telephone oper
ator and a complicated mechanical equip
ment cannot be seen, but telephone traffic
varies in every hour of every day accord
ing to the individual desires of thousands
of patrons.
Drs. Wise and Phetteplace will be
at the Nehalem Hotel Thursday
June 15th.

If there should be at times a delay in
answering your call, remember that trained
young women with nimble fingers are do
ing their best to serve you, and that at the
moment there may be a “rush” of telephone
traffic.
The exercise of patience and considera
tion will mean better service.
Drs. Wise and Photteplace, Dent-
ists, will be at their Cloverdale
office Wednesday and Thursday, 1
June’21st and 22nd.

agement to pull uh out.
That I h the work of the 4-H club, ,
which wan organized on the Oregon I
Agricultural campus about three I
years ago. Its aim I h to help the club
workers of the state In any way it
can. The members, besides helping
individual workers In
their own
communities, accompany the state
leaders on little field trips, close to
the college, and give short talks to
the boys and girls, telling them
what they got out of club work when
fliey were members, and trying to
encourage and help them in their
work.
The 4-H club now has an enroll- 1
tnent of about fifty member», each
one of which, has at some time or
other been In club work. It Is the
only club of its kind in the world,
and has received much encourage
ment from leaders of thia and other
states.
,
Don't be discouraged. After all,
you do enjoy the work. Isn't It fun
to watch your pig grow, your gar
den come up. or your cooking and
sewing progress nicely?
And all
this leads to rewards to be proud of.
Here's to the club workers of
Oregon, and of the United States.
May you all keep right In the game,
and some day be ready to carry
the work we are trying to do.
Yours for success,
