Dear Madam; Referring to your
complaint regarding the non-deliv
ery of a message addressed to you
from Tillamook, Ore., on August 22,
and signed Mrs. A. L. Thomas, I re-
gret to aay that the meaagge failed
in transmission between Portland
and San Francisco.
It is noted that the Tillomook ori
ginal message has the address “71
and Tenth St.” and it is doubtful
with such an incorrect address
whether we would have been able to
effect a delivery under the circum-
stances had the message reached
here.
We would, of course, hare ____
asked
the sending office to procure'a mors
definite address if the message had
reached here incorrectly addressed
as it left Tillamook, and if a prop
er address was furnished we could
have made a delivery.
I am sending you two copies of
this letter thinking that you might
wish to send one to the sender of
the message.
