"The Beast” a William Fox photo
drama, is coming to the Gem Theatre
next Saturday. March 27. George
Walsh plays the title role. Those
who have seen this forceful actor
would naturally be eager to see him
again in anything he might do; but
in the coming production he is said
to give a characterization of astound
ing dramatic quality. As the “Beast”
he sinks his real personality and for
a time becomes a drink-crazed brute
ready to destroy that which Is des
tined ultimately to bring him com
plete happiness.
His fight for a woman horrifies;
his struggle for life thrills, and his
triumph over evil should satisfy
those who see tjiis picture.
