    TILLAMOOK HEADLIGHT, JULY 18, 1918.
Fatal Accident at Logging Camp.
Charles Eckerc, of Boise, Idaho,
was instantly killed at the Coats
Logging Camp on Tuesday, where he
was crushed between two logs. He
was head faller and had been work
ing at the camp two weeks. He came
here with his wife about three weeks
ago, and was about 27 years of age.
The boys at the camp raised $174.00
and the logging company gave the
wife $182.00. The deceased was pro
tected by the State Accident Com4
mission. The wife left with the re
mains on Wednesday to be buried in
Idaho.
"Her Own Mistake” at Gem
William Fox has a new play for his
star, Gladys Brockwell, that will be
presented at the Gem Theatre Thurs
day, July 25. This is welcome news
for Miss Brockwell has attained an
enviable place on the screen.
The new play Is called “Her Own
Mistake" and is the work of George
Scarborough who has turned out so
many brilliant plays for the spoken
stage and the screen.
In the new drama In which Miss
Brockwell will be seen, there are a
series of situations that are entirely
new and which give the star a pecu
liar opportunity to display her great
ability and charm. She plays the part
of two women. Miss Brockwell has
done some splendid work In dual
roles. In fact much of her success
has been the result of her achiove-
meats in this line, It appears now
that something entirely new has
been brought to light.
Few people on the screen have
gained anything like the legitimate
right to success that Miss Brockwell
has. She has earned this right be
cause of her distinct and forceful
personality, her great
personal
charm and her accomplishments as
an actress.
Miss Brockwell’s share in the new!
drama consists of two roles which
are entirely distinct, but it is entire
ly logical that one person should do
both parts; however, few actresses
would attempt this work, but Miss
Brockwell has proved herself an
adapt in showing two personalities
In a single play.
