George Cohn has induced the gro
cery men of Tillamook to carry can
ned abalones in their stocks, winch he
highly recommends as a delicious
shell fish caught off the California
coast by divers, who are armed with
a short hook and net basket. Unlike
most shell fish, the abalones have only
one large shell, somewhat larger
than clams. They are considered a
dainty luxury in California and they
can be obtained at the grocery stores
in this city. Mr. Cohn wants the peo
ple to try them.

a number of the new members were

the club and civic improvements.
About 60 business men have already
joined the club and there are a large
number of others to be seen. It is ex

goes through the town the member
ship will number at least 100 to 125,
as there is a strong disposition on the
part of the citizens to help the club
now that it is to devote its efforts to
publicity work.
