Murderer Wanted in Idaho.
THE STOCK-REDUCTION, CLEAN-UP
ANNUAL WHITE SALES
C. W. Leaf, a sheriff of Idaho, was
in Tillamook this week in answer to
a description of a man sent by Sheriff
Crenshaw, to see if the man who was
in custody here, is the murderer of
Olsen, a farmer
of Idaho. The
brother of the murdered man accom
panied the sheriff and the suspect
was taken to Portland on Thursday
morning.
The crime of which he is suspected
is the mqrdenng of a farmer on his
mountain farm about the first of No
vember, and the peculiar fact about
the case is that the body of the mur
dered man has never been recovered,
until the weather conditions in the
mountains of Idaho will permit a
search. 1 he pictures taken by the
local officers were particularly iden
tified by witnesses although there is
some doubt.

We. see in one of these New York
papers that women have a “Heredit
ary Fear of Man.” that this fear has
come prowling down the ages from
the time when woman was not safe
from the predatory male, and so on
Yes, we can prove it. Some twenty
odd years ago or more we came face
to »ace with our teacher over a small
difference of opinion concerning a
matter of deportment. We looked her
right in the eye as lion tamers do now
in moving pictures, and we talked
right up as L sited States senators
nave always done. We remember very
clearly the baste with which she grab
bed into her desk for her ruler. That
Hereditary Fear was working. T)Ver

the Lodge” is the pastor’s theme for
