THE NEW FISH LAW
Females Not Allowed to Fish
for Trout, nor can they
Obtain a License.
S ection 63.
Unlawful to Hunt or Angle with­
out license. It is hereby prohibited and
hereafter it shall be unlawful for any
person within the State of Oregon to
hunt for, pursue or take, or catch trout,
salmon trout, salmon or bass, by hook
or line, commooly Culled angeling ; take,
catch or to kill any of the game animals,
fowls or birds protected by the laws of
the State of Oregon, during the open
season when it is lawful to kill or take
the same, without such person having
in his personal possession and carrying
with him at the time of said hunting,
purluing, taking, catching or killing or
angeling, a license therefore duly issued
to him by the county clerk of one of the
counties of the state, provided, however
that no license shall be required of a
manor members of his own family for
permission to hunt or angle upon his
own ’and , and the county clerk of every
county of the State of Oregon is hereby
authorized to issue such license under
the provisions of this act. Such license
shall be numbered and dated, and sliall
contain a brief description of (he person
to whom the same is issued, together
with the name and place of residence of
each such person. Any license issued to
any person according to the provisions
of this act shall be at all times subject
to the inspection of any officer of the
State of Oregon charged with the en
forcement of the garue laws or any
sheriff or deputy sheriffs or constable
within the State, or the owner or his
agent or representative of the real
property upon which the holder of auch
license may be hunting or angling.
Manner of procuring license. All
licenses provided for in this act shall be
issued .as follows : Upon application
therefore by any person, either resident
or nonresident of this state, who shall
tile an affidavit with the countv clerk
setting forth his age, residence, occupa­
tion, etc., an annual license shall be is
sued to such person by the county clerk
to whom such application shall be made
and shall be as follows :
1st. For the purpose of hunting for,
taking, catching or killing any of the
wild fowl, game birds or animal pro­
tected by the State of Oregon, and which
said license shall entitle the party to
whom such license is issued to hunt for,
pursue, to catch or kill any ol 'the said
game animals or birds within the State
of Oregon during the open season when
it is lawful to kill the same, i nd every
person who is a citizen of the Slate of
Oregon, upon the issuing of said ¿license
shall pay to the county clerk the sum of

Fish Hatchery Dedicated.
The salmon hatchery on the Trask
river, about nine miles southeast of Tilla­
mook City, and belonging to the State
of Oregon,was dedicated on Sunday last.
