The Tillamook Mercantile Company has been incorporated and organized for the
p irpose of buying merchandise in the largest quantities possible for use in this county.
Our cash resources are such that we are in a position to purchase goods in car lots,
or any number of cars of goods, that it is possible to use to wholesale or retail them out
to the public at prices never possible tor us to furnish before.
It is our purpose to benefit every citizen in Tillamook County, instead of trying to
injure them. We shall have no regret if we fail in our efforts to benefit everyone.
It would be impossible for us to undertake to make such prices as we shall offer
and continue to nuke if we were compelled to borrow capital to run our business, nor
would we attempt to make them, if we supposed for one minute that we were to continue
to purchase goods in the usual quantities iu the future as in the past twenty years.
But we are now prepared to make bids for goods iu any quantity possible to use in
this county, instead of paying the prices asked.
In the business world today there is a bid price and an asking price, and capital
