The first meeting between General
George B. McClellan and General Bob-
ert E. Lee happened In Mexico duping
the war with that country, McClellan
was a lieutenant of engineers, and Lee
was a major on the staff of General
Winfield Scott.
One day McClellan was walking
across a field when he saw Genera'

horseback. As they drew near Ma-
