office a list of school indemnity selections

said list is open to the public for inspec­

A stranger giving the name of Frank
Tucker was taken into custoday at
Granite Tuesday on snspicion of being
an accomplice in the murder of Harvey
K. Brown. At the time of his arrest he
was intoxicated an 1 made very damag
ing statements as to the case.

Officer Thornburg to take him to Sump

In Tucker’s statement he admitted that
he was in Baker City the night of the ex­
plosion and that he knew the men who
set off the bomb, but he will not tell
their names.
He says that ha saw the bomb and
that it was made of nitro-glycerine nnd
white pine sawdust and was set off by
wires. He also says that he was 40
yards Irom the bomb when it was set
off, that he ran down by the freight de
pot and afterwards out of Baker to
wards Sumpter, arriving in Austin the
second day, worked there four days and
walked to Granite Monday. The two
others ititendedgoing to Cheyenne, Wvo.
He says that he has Worked in mines
at Butte and at different camps in Colo­
rado ; that he is a member of the West­
ern Federation of Miners, also that he
has relatives living at Scio.
After he whs taken in charge by the

er at Scio, in which he said he had got

assistance.
Tucker is about 30 years old. about 5
feet, 7 inches high, of light complexion,
dressed in working clothes with heavy
