What is the use of spending labor and
money advertising Tillamook county if
it is bottled up with toll roads. Tilla
mook has now a bright luture before it.
but, if the tollroads are maintained, it
will retard the growth of the county.
Thousai ds of home seekers have been
coming and will continue to come to Ore
gon every week, but they do not come
to Tillamook liecause the cciinty has
lieen shut in hih I bottled-up with toll
roads.
No one can blame home seekers
for not coming to Tillamook when other
counties have free roads. The wav to
retard the growth ol this county is to
bottle it up with toll roads. The way
to open up and develop the comity and
induce home seekers to come here is to
have free roads. Taxes were high this j
year and tlirie will l»e plenty of money
to keep up all roads in fairly good shape.
Before the county court lea tea another

injurious effect it will have upon Tilla
