house was broken into Monday night
and $70’ stolen from Mr. Edwards'
pockets. He had been nursing his wife,
who is quite sick, and having lost a good
deal of sleep, laid down on the bed late
at night and went to sleep for two
hours. When he awoke he went to his
pants pockets for a chew of tobacco,
which was hanging behind the door,
when he found that his wad of $70 had
disappeared. It was his intent'on to
have put it in the hank the previous day
but was not down town.
