Died, in this city, on Friday, at the
Larsen house, after being in pour health
f >r some months. Mr. John B. Tilden,
aged 77 years. The funeral took place
mi Saturday, the religious service being
in the M E. Church, conducted by the
pastor. Rev. C. A. Stockwell, and the
remains wen» buried besides those of his
wife, who died a few years ago. John
B. Tilden was born in the state of New
York. Septeuilier 15, 1829, and was
married to Margret J. Irland, at
Oswego. N.Y., on September 15th, 1859.
The children born to them were Emma
A., Clarence W., Albert S., Mary F. and
George L. '1 ilden, all of whom are living.
The two daughters and one son, George,
reside tear Saginaw, Michigan, and two
sons, Clarence and Albert, are residents
of Tillamook county.
His Imine was
near Saginaw, but he came to Tillamook
with hia wife four years ago last May to
visit with their sons. On December 22nd,
of the same year his faithful wife died of
pneuiMonia, since which time he has
made his home in Tillamook.
