two largest bridges on the line have
been let to Carstens Bros & Hartley,
Manning, W. H. Lyda, Greenville, and

miles. Chief Davis, this morning receiv

Supply Company, of San Francisco, that
arrangements have been made for the
rails for the lost ten miles of road, and
it is expected that track-laving will be
gin by September 1.
A portion of the grading has been let
to subcontractors, and Mr. Davis states
that the entire line will be let by the
end of next week. Grading will begin
on the Hillsboro end next week.
