last Tuesday night and discussed
Clean-Up Day.
This meeting is one of very
groat value to Silverton if we all
get the necessary enthusiasm.
The date named by the Mayor
after it was discussed by himself
and the delegates is Wednesday,
June 25.
A temporary organization was
effected with the following
officers:

It was decided, on motion, to
call a mass meeting to perfect
the permanent organization, and
a committee to secure the place
of meeting, to name the time
and to issue the call was appoint­
ed as follows:
Mayor Bowser, Mrs. J. H.
Sherlock, Mrs. T. E. Preston.
The question of the duties and
methods of cleaning and purify­
ing our city and how best to
arouse civic pride to the necessary
pitch in order to make the work

a very successful campaign
against filth, ugliness and ill-
health in what can easily be
