ODFW Access and Habitat Board
seeks two Hunter Representatives
SALEM, Ore. – The Oregon
Department of Fish and Wildlife
(ODFW) is accepting applica-
tions for two Hunter Represen-
tative positions on the Access
and Habitat (A&H) Statewide
Board. The application dead-
line is September 2.
The A&H Program is funded
by a $4 surcharge on hunting li-
censes. The A&H Board is
made up of seven citizen vol-
unteers—three landowner rep-
resentatives, three hunter rep-
resentatives, and one public-
at-large representative. The
Board reviews and recom-
mends wildlife habitat improve-
ment and hunting access proj-
ects to the Oregon Fish and
Wildlife Commission.
Board members are ap-
pointed to a four-year term by
the Commission and may be
reappointed once to serve a
second consecutive term. They
meet four times each year in
various communities through-
out the state to review project
funding applications, hear pub-
lic testimony, act as liaisons be-
tween the program and the
public, and attend to other pro-
gram business.
