1956, he moved to Georgia to
pursue an education.
In 1967, he married Loretta
Sullivan. They made their home
in Vernonia. He worked in con-
struction, logging, at Metro West
Ambulance and as a caregiver
until his illness in 2011.
He was a caring person, al-
ways ready to lend a hand. He
helped many after the floods in
1996 and 2007. He was a mem-
ber of the Lions Club, the Ver-
nonia Seventh-Day Adventist
Church, and was a Vernonia
Volunteer EMT from 1985 to
2005.
He was preceded in death by
a brother, Martin Seibert; and a
niece.
Survivors include his wife; a
son, LeMel Seibert; a daughter,
LaRhonda Wheeler; a brother,
David Seibert; two sisters, Laura
May Zollinger, and Ruby Eaton;
and three grandchildren.
KARI JO TITUS
Kari Jo Titus, 49, Vernonia,
died April 25, 2012. A celebra-
tion of life service will be held on
Saturday, May 12, from 11 a.m.
to 1 p.m. at the Vernonia High
School gymnasium in Vernonia.
Private interment rites will take
place at North Cemetery of
Clear Creek in Vernonia.

She enjoyed social gather-
ings, trips to Mexico, time at the
beach, listening to music, and
taking care of her flowers and
her dog, Hannah.
She was preceded in death
by her father.
Survivors include her hus-
band; a daughter, Amanda;
three stepchildren, Tim Titus,
Taylor Titus and McKenzie Titus;
her mother; three sisters, Cami
and Lani, both of Portland, and
Jana of Vernonia; nieces and
nephews.
