Nano IPod, valued at $175, re-
ported at Vernonia High
School.
Feb. 15 – George Wood, 25,
Vernonia, cited for Unlawful
Possession of Marijuana on
Bridge St.
Feb. 17 – Jacob Mandes,
38, Vernonia, arrested for Vio-
lation of Pre-Trial Release
Agreement; taken to CCSO
jail.
Feb. 19 – MVA at Bridge St.
and N. Mist Dr.
– Small homemade explo-
sive device turned in to the Ver-
nonia Police Dept.; OSP Explo-
sives unit disposed of the de-
vice.
Feb. 20 – Theft/Forgery re-
ported on Alder St. after checks
were found to have been stolen
and cashed at an out-of-state
bank; investigation ongoing.
Feb. 22 – James Barto, 34,
Port Angeles, Washington, ar-
rested near Alabama and
Spencer Avenues on Fugitive
Felony Escape Warrant; taken
to CCSO jail.
Feb. 23 – Denise Miller, 41,
Vernonia, arrested on Felony
Warrant related to Unlawful
Possession of Heroin; taken to
CCSO jail.
Feb. 28 – Death investiga-
tion on N. Mist. Dr.; investiga-
tion ongoing.
