VICTORIA LEE NORRIS
Ralph Herbert Condit, 94,
Lake Oswego, died January
15, 2012. A service was held
January 23 at the Prince of
Peace Lutheran Church in
Portland. Interment was at Sky-
line Cemetery in Portland.
Mr. Condit was born Sep-
tember 3, 1917, in Sublet, Ida-
ho, to Herbert M. and Ida D.
(Powers) Condit. When he was
three years-old, the family
moved to Vernonia. He gradu-
ated from Vernonia High
School in 1937 then attended
San Diego College.
In 1941, he married his high
school sweetheart, Eunice E.
Larsen. He worked for Boeing
during World War II in Seattle,
then moved to Yakima and was
a real estate broker. After mov-
ing to Portland he worked in
sales for Kraft Foods, retiring
as District Sales Manager in
1980.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting
and golf.
He was preceded in death
by a son, Dwight.
Survivors include his wife;
four children, Lynn Irish of
Troutdale, Greg Condit of Port-
land, Shelley Small of Lake Os-
wego, and Chris Andl of West-
lake, California; three grand-
children, and two great-grand-
children.

Victoria Lee Norris, 56,
Beaverton, died January 27,
2012. A celebration of life was
held February 2 at Banks Com-
munity
United
Methodist
Church.
Mrs. Norris was born July
17, 1955, in Aberdeen, Wash-
ington, to William Lowell and
Helen (Powell) Woods. She
was raised in Washington until
moving to Hillsboro when she
was 14. She graduated from
Hilhi in 1973. She was a home-
maker.
She enjoyed the outdoors,
fishing, hunting, and hiking.
She was preceded in death
by her father; and two brothers,
Bob Woods and Charles
“Chucky” Woods.
Survivors include her moth-
er, Helen Schuman of Banks;
three brothers, Bill Woods of
Sidney, British Columbia, Ca-
nada, Gary Woods of Umatilla,
and Paul Woods of Oregon
City; nieces and nephews.
Remembrances are sug-
gested to the Salvation Army in
Hillsboro.

MICHAEL EUGENE SHAW
Michael Eugene Shaw, 56,
Banks, died February 3, 2012.
A celebration of life was held
February 11 at Schlegel Hall.
Mr. Shaw was born Novem-
ber 1, 1955, in Eugene, to Eu-
gene and Donna Mae (Hugh-
es) Shaw. He was raised in
North Plains, and graduated
from Hillsboro High School in
1973.
In 1998, he married Carrie
“Isabell” Brown. They made
their home in Banks. His love
for cars led him to work as a
mechanic, car salesman, RV
repairman and gas station at-
tendant.
He enjoyed working, racing
and driving cars, camping and
weekly bingo.
He was preceded in death
by his father; a brother, Tommy;
and a step-daughter, Devon
Brown.
Survivors include his wife;
two children, Steven Shaw and
Michaela Shaw, both of Banks;
two step-sons, Everett Brown
of Virginia, and Jeremy Brown
of Banks; his mother of Cor-
nelius; a sister, Donna Baca of
Newberg; four nephews.
Remembrances are sug-
gested to the American Heart
Association or to the Devon
Brown Scholarship Fund, c/o
Banks High School.

Mary Jacobs Taylor, 65, Ver-
nonia, died January 30, 2012.
A celebration of life service was
held February 4 at the Cedar
Side Inn.
Mrs. Taylor was born July
28, 1946, in Marion, Iowa, to
Maurice and Dorothy (Ford) Ja-
cobs. She was raised in Mari-
on.
In 1965, she married Don
Debel. They owned and oper-
ated the Malmo Bay Lodge in
Malmo, Minnesota for several
years. They later divorced. In
1977, she married Michael Tay-
lor. They made their home in
Vernonia. She had worked at
Sam’s Market, and at the
Bridge Street Mini Mart.
She enjoyed knitting and
caring for her dog, “Charlie”.
She was preceded in death
by her parents.
Survivors include her six
children, Kim Taylor of Crosby,
Minn., Britt Brewer of Vernonia,
Michael R. Taylor of North
Plains, Alisa Wisse of Oakland,
New Jersey, Jeff Taylor of For-
est Lake, Minn., and Angela
Hayden of Coon Rapids, Minn.;
a sister, Anne Jacobs of Port-
land; 13 grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; nieces
and nephews.

DARLA DEE WICKWIRE
MARY JACOBS TAYLOR
Darla Dee Wickwire, 52,
Forest Grove, died January 31,
2012. A memorial service was
held February 4 at His Church
in Forest Grove.
Mrs. Wickwire was born
January 20, 1960, in Yakima,
Washington, to Sharon (Rhode)
Bunton. She lived in Washing-
ton until moving with her family
to Banks in 1967. In 1972, they
moved to Buxton. She graduat-
ed from Banks High School in
1979.
In 1989, she married Donald
J. Wickwire. They made their
home in Forest Grove. She
worked at Floating Point Sys-
tems for six year, then went to
work for Intel in 1983 where
she retired as a Wave Machine
Operator in 1998.
She enjoyed people and
helping others, as well as
spending time with children.
She was preceded in death
by her step-father, James Bun-
ton.
Survivors include her hus-
band; her mother, Sharon Bun-
ton of Forest Grove; three
sons, James Weaver of
Beaverton, John Weaver of
Portland, and Jacob Weaver of
Forest Grove; six sisters, Laura
L. Hale, Gina M. Petersen, and
Patricia E. Cruz, all of Forest
Grove, Tamara T. Blackford of
Portland, Kimara E. Cisneros
of Cornelius, and Carrie C.
King of Beaverton; and two
grandchildren.
