Darlene Butcher, 58, Sher-
wood, died November 4, 2011.
Services will be held November
19, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Vernonia.
Mrs. Butcher was born May
30, 1953, in Ukiah, California,
to Elmer and Dawn Hall. She
was raised in Vernonia and
Portland. She attended Ver-
nonia High School before grad-
uating from Wilson High School
in 1971.
In 1979, she married Jeff
Butcher. They made their home
in Sherwood. She owned and
operated North’s Plumbing
from 1981 until this fall. She
had run the offices of Rose-
wood Construction in the past.
Mrs, Butcher was named
Rotarian of the Year by the
Beaverton Rotary Club in 1996.
She and her husband were
members of the Weimaraner
Club of America and she
showed her own and others
dogs in competitions.
Survivors include her hus-
band; a son, Kelly Butcher of
North Plains; two brothers,
