Kevin Hudson Does Not Listen
• Would not listen to facts or take appropriate action on serious personnel matters
concerning Hudson’s close friend Vernonia Police Sgt. Mike Kay.
• Would not listen to City employees, committees, or the wants of the citizens of
Vernonia when they overwhelmingly endorsed Bill Haack as City Administrator.
Instead Hudson voted not to listen to facts about the Kay issue and then voted to
fire Bill Haack, apparently because Haack was attempting to move forward on
concerns about Kay.
Kevin Hudson Does Not Care
• Does not care about Vernonia’s physical or financial post flood recovery.
• Does not care that Bill Haack was doing an excellent job facilitating multiple projects
involving recovery and needed improvements to our community.
• Does not care about the wants and needs of the citizens in our community.
• Does not care about his fiscal responsibility to the City, as he refused to take steps
to reduce the city’s liability regarding Kay, resulting in the possibility of a substantial
increase of the City’s insurance deductible or canceling the insurance altogether.
• Does not care about his responsibility to be unbiased and free of conflict of interest
when casting votes, and instead protects his friends at great cost to Vernonia.
