Oregon Zoo schedules their
Rabbit Romp for April 23
Things will be hoppin’ Satur-
day, April 23, when the Oregon
Zoo hosts its annual Rabbit
Romp, a celebration of spring
for all ages. Rabbit Romp is
sponsored by the Oregon Col-
lege Savings Plan and is free
with regular zoo admission.
Rabbit Romp features candy
egg hunts every 20 minutes be-
tween 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Children ages 3 to 10 are divid-
ed into age groups and invited
to hunt for eggs filled with can-
dy and prizes. Toddlers, two
and under, can participate in a
candy hunt organized especial-
ly for them. Rabbit Romp festiv-
ities also include a petting zoo,
games and photo opportuni-
ties. The polar bears will also
be receiving egg-themed en-
richment at 11 a.m.

The zoo opens at 9:00 a.m.
daily, and is located just off
Highway 26. The zoo is also
accessible by MAX light rail
line. Visitors who travel to the
zoo via MAX receive $1.50 off
zoo admission. General admis-
sion is $10.50 (ages 12-64), $9
for seniors (65 and up), $7.50
for children (ages 3-11) and
free for those 2 and younger;
25 cents of the admission price
helps fund regional conserva-
tion projects through the zoo’s
Future for Wildlife program. A
parking fee of $2 per car is also
