Good turnout seen at “Old Grad” picnic
At the Vernonia Society and
“Old Grads” picnic, on Sunday,
August 16, over 140 people
signed the attendance sheets.
The oldest at 92 years of age
(and oldest graduate, from
1936) was Ralph Condon. The
oldest woman was Faith
Reynolds at 94 years. Jim Pe-
ters came the farthest, from
San Diego.
Nine members of the Ver-
nonia High School class of
1949 came to celebrate at the
picnic; Marilyn Graves, Maxine
Barrett, Mickey Johnson, Ar-
lene Schaffer, Dolores New,
Bill Sword, George Belling-
ham, Larena Miller, and Bill
Wilcoxen.
