When a hiker, fisherman,
hunter or any other person is
lost, a plane goes down in an
unknown location, or evidence
needs to be located in a remote
area – “Who you gonna call?”
Your Sheriff’s Office Explorer
Search and Rescue Team!
Explorers are young men
and women, age 14 to 20
years, who have gone through
extensive and challenging
training. Explorers are affiliated
with Learning for Life, a non-
profit organization. Many
schools give credit toward
graduation for students who
participate in this program.
Once accepted into the pro-
gram, candidates must com-
plete a 12-day full-immersion
training camp academy. The
