Reducing anxiety is simply a
matter of eliminating the un-
known. When you’ve helped
your student learn enough
about schools to make an intel-
ligent choice, and helped him
or her establish a process that
will keep things under control,
then the stress levels just natu-
rally go down. Of course, the
anxiety that will come from
waiting to learn if one is accept-
ed after the applications are fi-
nally in is another whole story.

The event is part of an annu-
al emergency drill. “We’re con-
stantly looking for ways to im-
prove our dispensing systems
in case of something like a flu
pandemic.” said Branyan.
“Massive vaccinations would
be necessary once the flu type
was identified and a vaccine
made for it.”
By giving flu vaccine to a
large number of people over a
short time, the staff will practice
operating Points of Dispensing
efficiently in case of a biological
emergency. “Last year, the
waiting time for people coming
to our clinic was about 11 min-
utes from the time they walked
in to the time they left,” Russell
said.
