EDNA ANNA REYNOLDS
Edna Anna Reynolds, 76, Vernonia,
died June 17, 2007. A private celebra-
tion of life will be held today. Interment
will be private.
Mrs. Reynolds was born September
1, 1930, in Orleans, Nebraska, to Carl
and Nellie (Shaver) Snyder. When she
was 12, the family moved to Vernonia.
She graduated from Vernonia High
School in 1947.
In 1948, she married Donovan E.
Reynolds. They made their home in
Vernonia. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by two
brothers, Floyd and George Snyder.
Survivors include her husband; a
son, Glen A. Reynolds of Vernonia; five
daughters, Cathie A. Swanz of La Jun-
ta, Colorado, Nancy A. Hoy of Aloha,
Patricia A. Thompson of Beaverton,
Lorre’ A. Bassett of Monterey, Califor-
nia, and Roberta A. Davis of Scap-
poose; a brother, Bert Snyder of Fern-
ley, Nevada; a sister, Velma Harders of
Aberdeen, Washington; 12 grandchil-
dren; five great-grandchildren; nieces
and nephews.
Remembrances are suggested to
the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital,
MS 20, P.O. Box 4100, Portland OR
97208.

BEULAH M. TIPTON
Beulah M. Tipton, 92, Forest Grove,
died June 12, 2007. A celebration of life
was held on June 16 at the Fuiten,
Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Forest
Grove. Interment was at Mt. View
Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Tipton was born February 25,
1915, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, to
George and Mary Elliot Slyter. She
completed eighth grade in Weiser, Ida-
ho, and her family then moved to Crys-
tle.
In 1932, she married Joseph Tipton.
They made their home in Klamath Falls
before homesteading in Looking Glass,
then gold mining in Shasta, California,
before returning and settling in Port-
land. In 1957, they moved to Forest
Grove. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her
husband; three sisters and two broth-
ers.
Survivors include five sons, Ken-
neth of Hillsboro, Joseph of Vernonia,
Stanley of Portland, Leslie of Burns,
and Keith of Aloha, six daughters, Mary
Ella Schooling of Aloha, Bettie Jo
Schwartz of Fairview, Linda Lee Dow of
Portland, Sharon Raye Tipton of
Fairview, Dorothy Jean Brandow of
Woodburn, and Susan Munson of Cor-
nelius; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-
grandchildren; and six great-great-
grandchildren.
Remembrances are suggested to
the American Heart Association, Ore-
gon Affiliate Inc., or to Doernbecher
Children’s Hospital.
