“Bloomers”
Rothwell
and
Sandy “Firefly” Creson for a
presentation about the lifestyle
of mountain women and how
they survived in Oregon’s early
forests. They will explore the
types of clothing worn, the
“tools” they used (including
muzzleloaders) and how the
American Indians provided
items through trade and influ-
enced clothing styles.
March 4 will be the date for
Bluegrass Open Jam, at 1:00
p.m. Our monthly bluegrass
jam is a celebration of the set-
tlers who lived in the hills and
mountains and composed mu-
sic about their day-to-day life

certainly have our share of
mountains. Bring your man-

several open theft cases.
The VPD is taking measures
to respond to the thefts using
available resources. We ask
for community help as well.
Watch out for yourself and your
neighbors by reporting suspi-
cious activity, suspicious vehi-
cles, and suspicious people.
Try to make a note of time,
date, descriptions, and license
plates. It may not seem too
suspicious at the time, but the
information could be invaluable
later if a theft is discovered. If
you have been a victim of a
theft we encourage you to re-
port it to the proper agency.
Even if the items stolen were
just scrap or of little value, we
need to know. Your report may
allow us to fill in missing pieces
of this extremely large puzzle.
