Job Requirements: Minimum of high
school degree, dental assistant train-
ing, EFDA certified, X-ray trained. Ef-
fective interpersonal and communica-
tion skills. Attentive to detail, and self
motivating. Ability to provide compas-
sionate care to patients and educate
them in post visit and post procedure
care. Ability to respond appropriately to
emergency situations. Ability to take
impressions, bite registrations and fab-
ricate models for specific procedures.
Tasks and Duties: Escort and prepare
patients for dental treatment; Prepare
instruments/materials for procedures;
Assist in four-handed chair side den-
tistry; Perform intra-oral procedures
ie., placing temporaries, polishing, tak-
ing impressions; Prepare restorative
materials, dental cement, preparation
and treatment of models and plaster
impressions; Sterilize instruments us-
ing autoclave or chemical disinfec-
tants; Take x-rays, digital developing of
x-rays; Sterilization of rooms and
equipment; Ordering and tracking of
dental supplies and lab cases.
