Mark your calendars to be a part of this important health service for which we thank our local Lions Club. WOW! Did people ever clean out their messes around Vernonia on April 22. Thanks to the City of Vernonia, SOLV, and Vernonia Pride. I sat in the dump line for 1-1/2 hours at the beginning at 12:30 but I didn’t mind; the weather was beauti- ful and I just cranked up my Johnny Rivers tunes, time al- ways goes by fast with my nos- talgic memories music!! (By the way, Johnny’s Mountain of Love makes a good aerobics dance number for any interest- ed parties out there.) Here at the Center we wish to thank: Patty Lloyd for her help inside and all the arrang- ing in the back room, what a chore; her husband, Pat, along with vice president Bill James and president Carl Holsey for their hard work steam cleaning the outside parking lot and oth- er clean-up work. Follow the leader, so the saying goes. Thanks for your fine examples! Also, thank you to members Jim Grimes and Phyllis Cox for coming from Rainier to offer their cleanup services. See you on Friday mornings for Connie’s fabulous break- fasts in our dining hall from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the fabu- lous price of only $2.50!! Ask our repeat customers…great food, great price!
