at Portland Community College
(PCC) or other colleges and
VHS must pay for it. The bill
also sets a dollar limit for
schools, based on 330 credit
units per 1,000 students, which
works out to about 80 hours for
VHS. PCC’s admission require-
ments are Writing 115 and
Math 60 level, so some stu-
dents may not qualify on that
basis.
Kingsley reported that she
had an email from the cafeteria
staff that they are now ready to
implement a finger scan
process for those families that
want to use it. The board ap-
proved sending letters of infor-
mation to all parents for a start-
up of next semester. The finger
scan will be used only with chil-
dren whose parents have
signed a permission form. The
Middle School will pilot this
project.
The 2005 audit report was
presented by Grove, Mueller &
Swank, whose representative
said that the audit did not find
any irregularities.

the schools will report the num-
ber of old registration cards col-
lected to the Secretary of State,
who will then pay each school
one penny for every old card it
collects.
