River Fest Special Edition, April 23, 2005
2005 marks the second annual River Fest
Rubber Ducky Race. This year, the Lions Club
has asked for help from the Cub Scouts, Boy
Scouts and Venture Scouts to sell the little
critters.
Purchasers of the $1.00 children's ducks
are encouraged to paint or otherwise person-
alize the ducks; just DO NOT paint over the
serial number on the bottom. Prizes for the
$1.00 ducks are: 1st – a large raft, 2nd – a
medium raft, 3rd – a fun surprise.
Ducks are available for purchase by adults
and businesses at $5.00 and $25.00, respec-
tively. Prizes are based on a percentage of
total sales.
Ducks will be on sale until April 22. All
ducks must be delivered to Hawkins Park by
12:00 noon on April 23, the day of the race.
The race will begin at 3:30 p.m. Proceeds
from the duck races will benefit the Lion’s
chartered youth organizations and projects.

Coffee

Join the fun and cheer your duck on to be
the fastest swimmer.
Other activities include:
Old Time Fun Games, 11 am - 4 pm every
hour on the hour;
Auction at 4:30 p.m. at the Big Tent in
Hawkins Park
Vendor Awning Rentals are available for
$20 at the information booth (a benefit for
Venturing Crew 201)
