Bandon responded with a scoring drive and the Loggers battled back through the air again. After a short kickoff and good return, Schmidlin hit Bryan Budge in stride for a 48- yard score. Vernonia’s defense then put up a great goal-line stand, stop- ping Bandon on the one-yard line for three straight plays. But Bandon’s defense held the Loggers twice more for the win. Bandon finished with 398 yards of total offense to 217 for Vernonia. Bandon will face Gold Beach in the semifinal game Decem- ber 4, at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay.
