Flu shots in Banks and Vernonia

Anyone can get Influenza.
It may result in missing a few
days of work or school; or it
may develop into more seri-
ous disease resulting in hos-
pitalization or death. Vaccina-
tion is the single greatest way
to prevent influenza and its
associated illnesses, hospital-
izations and deaths.
In Banks, flu shots will be
available at Jim’s Sentry Mar-
ket on October 24 from 11:00
a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on No-
vember 7 from noon to 4:00
p.m.

at Vernonia Sentry on Sun-
day, October 24 from noon to
6:00 p.m.

cluding Medicare, will cover
the cost of flu shots. The min-
imum age for flu shots is 12
years old.
Vaccination is the single

deaths. Flu shots reduce the
risk of influenza by up to 90
percent.

The Columbia County Sur-
face Mining Committee is look-

The Columbia County Com-
mission on Children and Fami-
lies is looking for members
from Vernonia, Rainier and
Clatskanie. This 20 member
committee makes recommen-
dations on spending state and
federal funds for services to
children and their families in
Columbia County.

Evening Chats at Tuality Health
The problem of addiction, its
prevalence, and the services
available to address this issue

betes.
