Versatility of Williams Metal Fab obvious in art and industrial jobs
From bread boxes to truck
tool boxes to even larger items,
Williams Metal Fab can handle
the design, fabrication and
welding.
Robert Williams has been
doing metal fabrication since
he was 16 and has been a
Journeyman Boilermaker since
the age of 20. After moving to
Vernonia in 1993, he worked as
a welder/metal fabricator for
others until starting his own
metal fab business in 1998.
Williams specializes in stain-
less steel work, but has done
many interesting jobs, from the
largest — all the stainless work
at the Amber Assisted Living
Complex (cook hoods, duct-
work, stainless sinks and trays,
wall flashing and shelves) to
the smallest — yard art. In be-
tween, he’s done trailers, race
“It’s like art to me,” said
Williams. “I like taking some-
thing flat (steel plate) and mak-
ing something, then seeing my
work around town.” Williams’
goal is to provide high quality
work at a reasonable price.
His current project is a 24 ft.
long, 8 ft. wide trailer built to
hold a double-sided reader
board for the City of Vernonia.
Once the sign has been at-
tached to the trailer, it will be lo-
cated out on Hwy. 26 pointing
people to Vernonia.
For small or large jobs, new
ideas or repairs, Williams Metal
Fab is available for metal fabri-
cation, portable welding, and
24-hour emergency repairs.
