ARDYTH LENA ALMACK
Ardyth Lena Almack, 71, Forest
Grove, died June 8, 2004. Private serv-
ices have been held.
Mrs. Almack was born April 10,
1933, in Quincy, Calif., to Guy and
Althea (Jones) Johnston. She was
raised and educated in Quincy.
In 1978, she married Frank G. Al-
mack. They made their home in Forest
Grove. She was a caregiver until retir-
ing in 1998.
She was preceded in death by 10
siblings and one grandchild.
Survivors include four sons, Harry
Dailey of Quincy, Calif., Michael Dailey
of Klamath Falls, Paul Dailey of Sono-
ra, Calif., Guy Dailey of Hillsboro; two
daughters, Helen Hisaw of Prineville,
Laurie Horlacher of Banks; two sisters,
Althea Ellis and Lori Johnson, both of
Salt Lake City, Utah; 16 grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren.

WANDA JEAN DOBER
Wanda Jean Dober, 91, formerly of
Forest Grove, died June 9, 2004. A
graveside service was held June 19, at
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish
Cemetery in Roy.
Mrs. Dober was born September
19, 1912, in Hillsboro. Her maiden
name was Hutchison. She graduated
from Banks High School.
In 1933, she married Louis J.
Dober. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her
husband.
Survivors include two sons, Robert
and William; one daughter, Marilyn
Shipman; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-
grandchildren.
Wilhelm was in charge of arrange-
ments.
HAZEL ALICE “MOLLY” EBY
Hazel Alice “Molly” Eby, 97, Beaver-
ton, died June 19, 2004. A private serv-
ice was held June 23. Entombment
was at Riverview Cemetery in Portland.
Mrs. Eby was born June 28, 1906,
in Wadena, Minnesota, to Frederick
and Leta M. (Walker) Nobes. She was
a child when the family moved to Port-
land. She graduated from Jefferson
High School, and attended the Univer-
sity of Oregon. She taught swimming,
dancing and gymnastics before her
marriage.
In 1935, she married Dr. Roland
Eby. They made their home in Vernon-

FLORENCE CHRISTINE HARLOW
Florence Christine Harlow, 55, Ver-
boort, died June 15, 2004. A mass was
held at Visitation Catholic Church in
Verboort. Interment was at Forest View
Cemetery in Forest Grove.
Mrs. Harlow was born January 19,
1949, in Forest Grove, to Clarence and
Christine (Verboort) Haynes. She grad-
uated from Banks High School in 1967.
In 1969, she married Lyle Glen Har-
low. They made their home in Verboort.
She worked at Epson as an assembler
for almost 17 years.
Survivors include her husband; two
sons, Kevin G. of Baker, Troy S. of
Gaston; two daughters, Kim E. Harlow
of Portland, Lynete C. Reid of Hillsboro;
two brothers, Melvin of Tillamook, Dar-
rel of Verboort; three sisters, Anita Van-
decoevering of Verboort, Lorraine An-
derson of Forest Grove, Darlene Arndt
of Gaston; 11 grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Fred A. Hartstrom, 64, died June 8,
2004. A reception was held June 19 in
Astoria and a celebration of life was

Mr. Hartstrom was born July 13,
1939, in Jewell. His family moved to As-
toria in 1955 and he graduated from As-

ALVILDA G. HEARING
Alvilda G. Hearing, 86, Vernonia,
died June 21, 2004. A memorial service
will be held at a later date, interment
was at Vernonia Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Hearing was born July 30,
1917, in Akron, Ohio, to Samuel Paris
and Anna Malinda (Wolfenbarger)
George. When she was young, the
family moved to McMinnville, where
she was raised. She earned a degree
in Education from Linfield College, .
In 1941, she married Samuel T.
“Buck” Hearing. They made their home
in Vernonia. She taught English at Ver-
nonia High School until retiring in 1969.
She was preceded in death by her
husband and a brother, Vincent.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel
G. and Dan, both of Portland; two
grandchildren; three great-grandchil-
dren; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Henderson was born March 3,
1940, in Gary, Indiana, to Walter E and

RICHARD ALLAN LOSLI
Richard Allan Losli, 53, Hillsboro,
died June 19, 2004. Graveside servic-
es were held June 23 at the Helvetia
Cemetery.
Mr. Losli was born November 11,
1950, in Hillsboro, to Edward and He-
len (Cordrey) Losli. He graduated from
Hillsboro High School in 1969. He
served in the U.S. Army during the Viet-
nam War.
In 1975, he married Neva McCuen.
They made their home in Hillsboro. He
worked for the Oregon Department of
Transportation from 1979 to 1996.
Then he, his wife and son owned and
operated Nerilo Janitorial Services, Inc.
Survivors include his wife; parents;
son, Avondale of Banks; daughter,
Hillery Losli of Washougal, Wash.;
three brothers, Joe and Andrew, both of
Hillsboro, Steve of Vernonia; one sister,
Nancy Skriiko of Hillsboro; three grand-
children.

CHARLES W. WRIGHT, JR.
Charles W. Wright, Jr., 57, Forest
Grove, died June 7, 2004. A memorial
gathering was held June 10.
Mr. Wright was born October 14,
1946, in Forest Grove, to Charles and
Annabelle (Fisher) Wright, Sr. He start-
ed school in Banks, then moved to For-
est Grove where he finished his educa-
tion. He served in the Oregon National
Guard.
In 1987, he married Cindy Lee Ray.
They made their home in Forest Grove.
He worked as a drywaller and as a logger.
He was preceded in death by an in-
fant daughter.
Survivors include his wife; two sons,
Terry of Forest Grove, Timothy of Hep-
pner; one daughter, Annette Juarez of
Forest Grove; stepchildren Paul Ray of
Portland and Kelly; one brother, Lyle of
Gaston; one sister, Frances Maplethor-
pe of Newberg; five grandchildren.
