Road work: How to develop ambivalence toward improvements
The major work on Hwy. 47
has been completed in Vernon-
ia’s downtown core, eliminating
frustrating delays in that four-
block area. The final layer will
not be added until late summer
or early fall.
The work will now shift to
the O-A Hill section of the high-
way, where major structural
work on the south side will re-
quire one-way traffic, 24-hours
a day. Delays are likely to oc-
cur in other areas, as well, as
preparation for the final resur-
facing continues from Hwy. 26
to the north city limits of Ver-
nonia.
