The INDEPENDENT, December 4, 2003 Page 5 No full weekend L&C Bridge closures in December Order sporting goods online now There will be no full week- end closures of the Lewis and Clark Bridge during December. The closure previously sched- uled for Dec. 12-15, has been postponed until sometime after Jan. 5, 2004. Because of potential impacts on the local community during the holiday season, the Wash- ington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the project contractor, Max J. Kuney Company, have modi- fied work plans to accommo- date this change and remain on schedule with only a minor proj- ect cost increase. The public will be notified at least three weeks in advance of the next full weekend closure. There will continue to be regu- lar nighttime full closures on the bridge through December, with the exception of the Christmas holidays. WSDOT will continue providing two weeks advance notice of all full nighttime clo- sures. There will continue to be night time closures, as in prior weeks. You can’t beat online shopping for conven- ience. Vernon- ia resi- d e n t s Cindy Nail- lon and her s o n , Shawn, opened an Cindy Naillon o n l i n e website called All Things 4 Sale, last October. Their aim is to supply all of your sporting equipment needs without you having to leave the comforts of your home. The idea for the business started after Cindy saw a web- site host site on television. Cindy and Shawn started work- ing out the details about eight months ago. The Naillon family enjoys bowling and Shawn has been involved in cross-country and wrestling. Since there are no sports equipment stores in Ver- nonia, they wanted to “be able to bring something to the com- munity that will help everybody out,” said Cindy. They started with the equip- ment needed for the sports played in Vernonia schools, then added camping, hiking, biking and even portable skate- board ramps. By offering name brands, they can assure good quality. They offer sporting goods from baseball to wrestling, in- cluding golf, football, volleyball, soccer and more. If you want to avoid holiday traffic and crowds but want sporting equipment – All Things 4 Sale is a convenient shop- ping site with good pictures and name brands. The site is se- cured and accepts Visa, Mas- terCard and American Express. You can check it out at <www. allthings4sale.itctv.com>.
