Multiple wildlife violations result in two arrests
Ryan Thomas, 37, of 33539
Wirta Way, Scappoose, was ar-
rested November 23 for Wildlife
crimes including Unlawful Tak-
ing of Bull Elk - No big Game
Tag, Borrowing a Big Game
Tag, Counseling in a Wildlife
Crime, Unlawful Possession of
Big Game Parts and Unlawful
Possession of Altered/ Mutilat-
ed Big Game Tag. Thomas was
also charged with Convicted
Felon in Possession of a
Firearm (4 counts), Manufac-
ture of a Controlled Substance
- Marijuana, and Possession of
a Controlled Substance - Mari-
juana.

formation obtained during this
investigation may lead to addi-
tional arrests.

an unlocked mailbox.
• Take outgoing mail to a cer-
tified U.S. Postal Service mail-
box.
• Before throwing out mail
with personal information on it,
shred it.
• If you are going to be away
stop your mail delivery.
• If you are expecting mail
and cannot be there to receive
it, ask a neighbor to pick it up
for you.
• Do not have checks mailed
to an unlocked mailbox.
• Always check your bank
and credit card statements for
accuracy and and to be sure
there are no transactions listed
that you did not incur.
• If you find a problem with a
bank or credit card statement,
contact the cardholder immedi-
ately.
• Periodically check your
credit history.
