Yard of the Month for August 2003
By Karen Miller
To me,
J a m
b o re e
weekend
s ig n a ls
the begin
ning
of
the end -
of sum
mer, that
is! Hope
everyone had a great weekend.
We need the rain, but I enjoy
the dryer, warmer tempera
tures! It’s always warm and dry
in here, so drop in and sit a
spell.
The Center wishes to thank
Bill Yeo and David and Rosie
McCoy for all their efforts in
putting together the Senior float
and the Senior auction, and all
others who helped. You know
who you are.
It takes harmonious team
work for your Senior Center to
continue all our activities. Many
thanks from the officers for
everyone’s help.
Some of you who live
around Vernonia, were trying to
hook up with trips with the
Scappoose center. Keep in
touch with us in here for up
coming trips.
Please call my office if you
are interested in signing up for
foot care in the latter part of
September. Any donation to the
center will be appreciated for
that service!
Tired? Need a break? Call
me for information on respite
care for caregivers here in Co
lumbia
County.
“Respite"
means taking care of you so
you can continue to take care
of them.
A hearing aide professional
is at the center every second
Friday. Call or come in.
Call me for any senior needs
and concerns. Senior Advocate
Karen Miller at 503-429-9112.
