"Show & Shine" for local car projects
An additional event has
been added to the annual
Jamboree car show sponsored
by the Nehalem Valley Speed
and Beauty Car Club.
The new event, called the
“Show & Shine Showcase,” is
restricted to Vernonia area res
idents and will be in an area set
aside for local people to display
their restoration or project cars
and trucks.
The club wants to highlight
and bring recognition to all old
and special interest cars, trucks
being worked on locally.
According to club members
“We want to show the world
that Vernonia has a big interest
in neat old cars!”
This “Show & Shine” area,
on the front lawn of Washington
Grade School, will accept all
Vernonia cars for parking be
tween 8:00 and 10 a.m. on Aug.
2. You do not have to be a
member of any car club to
showcase your vehicle, there is
no entry fee for this area and
cars will not be judged.
